I know for some people there is such a thing as a white lie. I do not. It is important to be honest and upfront with everything you say, especially on your resume. On the resume they cannot ask age, and if you are an older candidate you do not have to give dates re: education or all of your experience. They only want the most recent or what you can bring to the table. It is important you tell them the benefits of hiring you and be honest in what you can offer them – ie maturity, extra experience and insight into problem solving which the younger candidate has not yet acquired.
